This year, for our annual Cesar Chavez Day of Service, UPE partnered with 3 Sisters Gardens in West Sacramento to honor the legacy of the great activist, Cesar Chavez. 3 Sisters Gardens is a native & indigenous led, non-profit organization that empowers at-potential youth through urban farming & sustainability. The values of 3 Sisters Gardens align with UPE’s own; they believe in diversity, equality, & caring for your community & those in it.

UPE would like to thank each & every one of our volunteers, the staff at 3 Sisters Gardens, & everyone else who made the 2023 Day of Service event a success! It is an uplifting & rewarding experience working alongside people from different backgrounds to better the community that we all share. We look forward to the future & hope to see even more of you at the 2024 Day of Service!

UPE is proud to announce that our partnership with 3 Sisters Gardens was more than just a means to an end, we will be working with 3 Sisters Gardens again this year at Indigefest on May 13th, 2023! Be on the lookout for more details regarding the festival & UPE’s part in it!

TOGETHER WE ARE STRONG!
