DHA: EBT 2259

Greetings, Union brothers and sisters.  Your 008 bargaining team met with DHA management on January 7, 2025, regarding the addition to the EBT 2259 process.
 
Management explained that this additional step will assist in streamlining the process, taking more investigative work away from the HSS and handling it by the Program Integrity Division (PID).
 
This process only affects cash aid-based programs for now. CalFresh remains unchanged.
 
For once, the County came prepared, and this seems to be an improvement to the process.
 
UPE thanks Governing Board members Michelle Moyer, James Starr, Nichole Gorman and Olivia Brown for their advocacy and participation.
