Greetings UPE Family!

On September 14, 2026, your UPE negotiations team met with the Department of Child, Family and Adult Services (DCFAS) and the Office of Labor Relations about the update made to the above-referenced policy. There are two (2) updates to this policy: the first being an update to form CS106 and the second being an update to the name of Publication 86 listed in the Related Documents section of this policy.

The form CS106 (Special Skills Service Request) was updated to include CS 107 (Request for Accommodation). UPE saw this as a win for all those in the department who utilize these forms. There was only one (1) question: why have the Native American/Alaskan Native question on the 106 if the 106B still must be completed. The short answer was that DCFAS is not the only department in the County that uses form CS106.

The second update was the name of Publication 86 from Everyone is Different, but Equal Under the Law to Discrimination is Against the Law.
