DHA: CalSAWS Meet & Confer Update

On July 26, 2023, your UPE 005/008 CalSAWS negotiation team met with DHA management to discuss the union’s questions and proposals for easing the impact of the October 30, 2023, CalSAWS implementation in DHA. Management provided some answers, but the two sides remain far apart on the issues, first and foremost being the temporary reduced workload after go-live and also the period of time during which DHA line staff will be “held harmless” for low productivity and mistakes caused by the new system. We will resume the meeting on August 7, 2023.
