Greetings, Union Sisters and Brothers. On July 12, 2024, your UPE bargaining team met with Quality Management and Administrative Services (QMAS) management regarding the warehouse's move to the new location on Younger Creek.

The first thing UPE did was to take a tour of the new 24,000 sq. ft. space. The warehouse and connected office space are secure with C-cure badge access throughout the building. An intercom and video monitoring system will be coming soon. There are also proper postings for staff in case of emergency situations.

Currently, only one (1) 005 member is located at the warehouse (in the office space); however, the new space has the capacity to accommodate at least five (5) more clerical staff members, should the need arise. UPE reminded the department that, if they decide to move current employees to the new space, proper notice must be provided according to the contract guidelines.

Thank you to the advocates, Sarah Singleton and Deanna Green
