005 Bargaining Update

On April 29, 2025, your 005 bargaining team met with Sacramento County to continue bargaining for a new contract. The County presented us with two (2) counters to our proposals. One is regarding the paralegal’s certificate of continuing education, and the other is regarding new employee orientations. We are upset that the County still has not responded to our economic proposals. When we asked them why, they stated, “The margins of our salary proposal are way too far apart that they can’t even counter.” Instead of coming back with something for us to work with, they’re implying they want us to go lower before responding. We made tremendous movement, and they still came back offering nothing for a comparable livable wage.

Your 005 Governing Board invites you to a BAC (Bargaining Action Committee) Meeting on May 6th, from 6-7 pm. We will be sharing where we are at with our proposals, and what the County has given us. Show up to inform yourselves of all things negotiations and ask questions of the negotiations team. We need your support. Your feedback and input are important to us.

Our next bargaining session is on May 6, 2025. Please remember to wear RED in support of your bargaining team.
