E-Court Implementation
Greetings, Union Brothers and Sisters,
On September 28, 2026, your 005 governing board met with management over at the County Probation Office. We discussed the implementation of E-Court, which has become a contentious issue impacting our court employees, those at the district attorney's office, and many more workers, including those at probation. Management shared that they have not yet prepared processes and procedures governing the use of E-Court, but once such is done, they will notify us to meet. The importance of our meeting over these new procedures is to ensure the work they are assigning to our staff is within their classification, and that you are not doing the work of a higher classified position without appropriate compensation.
At the current moment, E-Court is a mess. They shared with us that information is not reflected properly, and that there are no formal quotas or expectations for staff on how to perform the work as of now. Rather, current processes are being utilized, and when new ones are developed, we will be notified to meet with the department.
If you experience any issues with this new system, please let your UPE Business Agent know, and we are happy to support you. Additionally, any feedback you have or errors you have experienced would be great to share with UPE.
UPE thanks advocates Deborah Tellez and Mantoia Abraham.
STAY TUNED.
