On April 23, 2025, your 005 bargaining team met with Sacramento County to continue bargaining for a new contract. Both parties had counterproposals for items that had previously been pushed across the table in an attempt to come to tentative agreements on language to improve the current contract. However, it appears that there is still quite a bit of distance between the County's economic proposals and those of your team, and there has been very little movement.
Your team is committed to the process and is working very hard to deliver the best possible contract for our hard-working members, who deserve a lot more than what is currently being proposed. Currently, we have proposals for wage and equity increases, increases to education incentives, and reimbursements, and a match to your deferred compensation plan, to name a few.
Our next meeting is on April 29th, 2025; please remember to wear RED to support your bargaining team.
