DCFAS/CPS: Psychotropic Medication Request for Dependent Children

On March 30, 2023, UPE met with the County regarding the above policy and procedure.


The County noticed UPE that they were updating the policy to provide clarity with the current process for filing the necessary forms to request Court authorization for psychotropic medications and to add the clerical tasks for noticing of hearings.


UPE did ask clarifying questions regarding when a Social Worker shall initiate the process for requesting Court authorization in addition to which parties shall be noticed by clerical. There was not much change to the policy and little to no impact on the members.
