Your UPE Yuba Court Bargaining team met the Court on November 14, 2023, to continue contract negotiations with the Yuba Superior Court. The Court presented UPE with a series of changes designed to clarify the contract’s language and add new language based upon changes to the law.
The Court also rejected UPE’s proposal on parental leave, citing concerns over the cost of the program and the presence of existing paid and protected leaves. The Court has outright rejected four of UPE’s seven proposals, agreed to one, and countered two others.
UPE would like to meet with our members to provide a more in-depth update on bargaining and hear from you. A Bargaining Advisory Meeting will be held for members from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM on November 29, 2023. The meeting will occur at the Round Table Pizza at 202 9th St. Marysville, CA.
