Yuba Negotiations Update
Greetings, Union Family,
Your Yuba Negotiations Team met with the Court for our third bargaining session on November 5, 2026. We passed over a proposal to allow staff to use the 2nd-floor vacant office again for private phone calls as necessary. The Court agreed to this, stating that it would be unlocked on January 1, 2027, once IT is able to remove the computer system.
We also counter-proposed their bilingual pay proposal, with $15 per half hour instead of $10. They rejected this, but offered a simpler and less complicated log for employees to fill out.
They responded to our salary adjustment, offering 1.5% in year 1 and 1% in year 2 for a 2-year contract. They also rejected our proposals for vacation and sick leave increases, and our proposal for increases to health coverage.
It is frustrating that they rejected almost everything without meeting us halfway, but that does not mean the proposals are off the table. We are meeting with them again on November 12th and plan to respond to these rejections.
Please remember to wear RED on bargaining days to support your team.
Stay tuned.
