The recent storms that rocked northern California since New Year’s Eve have affected many people across the state, but the population in Merced County took a major hit. Being in the central valley as they are, they not only experienced tree falls, power outages & property damage but an immense amount of flooding that uprooted people from their homes, & kept them from work, school & other daily necessities.
UPE is committed to helping the communities our members live in that were severely affected by these storms. The UPE Board of Directors voted to donate $10,000 to those communities affected by the winter storms in Merced County. As a membership-driven Union, UPE supports our members, their families & their communities.
