Sutter - Interpreter Coordinator Duties

On April 17, your Sutter governing board met with management to discuss the vacant court services technician position. This position's primary duty is to coordinate interpreter services for the Court. This position has historically been hard to fill because people want to be promoted to a court clerk. Currently, court clerks are absorbing these duties without extra pay.

We proposed that the court create a new specialized court clerk position with a higher pay scale for taking on these extra duties. The Court seemed interested in this idea and will be taking it back for consideration.

We will be meeting again to discuss these proposals thoroughly in the coming weeks.
