UPE was notified by Sacramento Superior Court requesting to open our contract and move the negotiated 4% raise scheduled for our members to receive the first full pay period after October 1, 2022, to be effective the first full pay period after July 31, 2022.
The Court also intends to implement a non-negotiable 3% raise, resulting in a 7% increase effective the first full pay period after July 31, 2022. The increase should be reflected on your August 19, 2022 paycheck. This will be extended to all Court employees, including represented and unrepresented workers.
In addition, the Sacramento Superior Court will extend an $85 per month parking stipend to employees assigned to the downtown Court locations (Main Jail, Hall of Justice, Gordon D. Schaber (GDS) Courthouse, and the Department of Technology). This stipend will begin September 2022.
The contract was only opened by the UPE Governing Board authority to accept the terms mentioned above. We will begin negotiations for a successor agreement no later than March 1, 2023, as our contracts are set to expire June 30, 2023.
