On September 24, 2024, the members gathered for a Bargaining Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting to discuss bargaining and impasse procedures and to discuss a strike authorization vote. A vote was taken by the members in attendance, and it was unanimously approved to authorize a strike.
In less than 24 hours, Court Admin reached out to UPE to restart discussions aimed at finding solutions to address the 0.5% difference between the two sides. We have time scheduled next Monday to meet but will have the proper notification in hand to begin the mediation process if talks again break down.
