UPE has officially began negotiations with Merced County on March 26, 2025. We are working to set ground rules and a meeting schedule with the County as we prepare for a strong push this year to win what our members deserve.
Our goal is clear: our members deserve fair raises and better benefits. We will be meeting with the County every other week to present proposals based on what our members deserve and need. UPE remains committed to fighting hard at the table—and we will not stop until we secure real improvements for our members.
We will keep you informed after every negotiation meeting with flyers containing updates, so you know exactly where things stand.
UPE is making it clear to the County and the Board of Supervisors that County workers are paying attention. County workers give their best every day for Merced County—now it is time for the County to show that same commitment to its workforce.
