El Dorado Court Bargaining Update

On October 7, 2025, your bargaining team met with Court Admin and the assigned chief negotiator from the Judicial Council. We have come to a tentative agreement on a successor MOU, and the details will be outlined below.
Your team presented a total of ten proposals, all of which were economic, and in the end, the two parties agreed on the following for a two-year agreement.
Wages:
  • Year 1- 4% COLA
  • Year 2- 5% COLA, with a decrease to 4% if the Trial Court Trust Fund (TCTF) Allocation has a reduction of $111,444.00, and a decrease to 3% if the TCTF decreases an additional $111,444.00.
Medical Dental Vision:
  • The Court will be picking up the cost of medical for the entire term of the agreement.
Holidays:
  • Lincoln's Birthday- The Court will be closed, and employees will not be asked to come to work.
  • Cesar Chavez Day- The Court will be closed, and employees will not be asked to come to work.
Floating Holidays:
  • During the first year of employment, full-time employees hired between January 1 and June 30 shall receive one (1) floating holiday on the first pay period after July 1 of that year.
  • For each subsequent year, full-time employees shall receive two (2) floating holidays effective the first pay period of each calendar year after their hire date.
Wellness:
  • The Court added an additional day, totaling sixteen (16) hours.

UPE will be holding membership meetings at the following locations to discuss the tentative agreement and give our members an opportunity to ask any questions that they may have before a ratification vote.
