United Public Employees met with the County of Sacramento Department of Health Services, Division of Primary Health Services, on October 10, 2024, regarding policies and procedures. The meet-and-confer focused on six different policies and procedures, either new or revised: Personal Electronic Device Usage, Registration of Patient Death (new policy), and revised policies on Telephone Protocol, Time Off Requests, Clinical Performance Management, and Mandatory Staff Training. UPE raised several questions and made multiple requests to the County regarding these policies, and we are currently awaiting their response.

UPE remains committed to advocating for fair and supportive policies for employees. UPE will continue to review these developments closely to represent the best interests of our members. As the meet-and-confer process continues, additional meetings will be scheduled. Stay tuned for more updates, as we will send out additional flyers to keep you informed on these important matters.

UPE would like to give special thanks to Sylvia Garcia and Jennifer Avalo from the UPE 005 Office Technical Governing Board and to James Starr, Nichole Gorman, and Stephanie McCall from the 008 Welfare Non-Supervisory Governing Board for their advocacy and participation.
