DHA - One Team LIMS Demo

Greetings, Union Family,

Your 008 governing board met with DHA for the new LIMS system updates and a demo of what it will look like upon rollout in February. LIMS functionality is now integrated with CalSAWS, eliminating the need for staff to switch between multiple screens. For example, when clerical schedules an appointment, LIMS will automate a journal entry and transfer it to CalSAWS on its own. On the eligibility side, the workers receiving pop-ups for appointments will be able to minimize the reminders, and they will no longer freeze the screen, allowing staff to resume their other tasks at hand. The system looks much more promising than the current one, and streamlines a lot of the click-throughs that staff currently have to do.

There will be short demos shown to staff in mid-November, with actual training and rollout in February of 2027. The department agreed to a 3-month hold harmless clause to protect workers from any errors or omissions while they adjust to this new appointment structure. Additionally, we will be meeting with management again in March, so we can discuss implementation and any possible issues. We are hopeful this system will make things easier, but we will reconvene if issues occur.
