UPE called attention to the fact that the transition has been slow, as processes are still being updated for the new system. The Department acknowledged that the new system has slowed work down and that there are issues.
UPE asked that the Department send all employees the location of all new written procedures in the shared drive and remind employees that if they need additional help or additional time to review procedures, they should contact their supervisor. If such requests are denied, please contact UPE right away.
Finally, UPE asked that the Department remind all supervisors and managers that the new system is making work take longer and that all staff are still learning the latest procedures. The Department should not pressure employees to get work done faster during this time. Again, please contact UPE if you are feeling unduly pressured by the Department.
