On April 15, your Office Technical Bargaining Team met with the County for another contract negotiation session. We were able to get tentative agreements on two (2) of our proposals: policies and procedures and worksite emergency leave.
We also provided a new proposal on deferred compensation matching. This would allow the county to match up to 3% of your contributions to your deferred compensation plan. They seem somewhat interested in this one, stating that it may have traction.
Your governing board will be discussing dates for a Bargaining Action Committee Meeting (BAC), so all members will have an opportunity to come voice their concerns and ask questions regarding bargaining. Stay tuned for dates.
There are still many proposals for us to respond to, and updates will be provided as our sessions keep going. Our next one is scheduled for April 23, 2025. Please remember to wear RED in support of your bargaining team while they are in session.
