005 Bargaining Update

On June 10, 2025, your 005 bargaining team met with the County for another negotiation session. We responded to the County’s disrespectful package proposal from last time. We revised their list of positions below the medium to include all of the positions we originally included at the table. Further, we replaced their demands to accept their proposals with our demands, as many of our proposals have yet to be answered by the County. Our package is unlike theirs in the sense that we didn’t just sum up everything on the table so it could be over and done with. We want negotiations to get finished the right way, with better working conditions and a fair contract for our people.

Finally, we countered their proposal on longevity. We asked them to maintain the 2.5% differential for 10 years and to add an additional 2.5% differential for 15 years. County workers deserve to be recognized and respected for their commitment to their communities. We will not accept the bare minimum.

Our next session is scheduled for June 17, 2025. Please be sure to wear RED in support of your team and to show our unity.

TOGETHER WE ARE STRONG!
