The Push for COVID Notifications

The Court has agreed to our request that they notice all employees when there is a positive COVID-19 case. This is an added victory to the previous notification notice. Previous to a Court-wide notice, the Court was only willing to notice employees who worked at the same Courthouse (and not Court-wide) where the positive employee worked at. Even more previous to that, the Court refused to notify anyone.

Due to our collective advocacy, we forced the Court to provide a comprehensive Court-wide notification that included information such as, but not limited to: the day the employee tested positive, the day when the employee was last at work, the Court’s sanitation and cleaning process, self-measuring guidelines, resourceful COVID-19 links, including the testing sites that are available in Sacramento County.
