On August 28, 2025, your bargaining team met with Court Administration and their chief negotiator from the Judicial Council. During this meeting, due to a lack of progress from the Court, we proposed a one-year contract that included a 5% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), along with provisions for longevity, wellness, and a tentative increase in the Tahoe subsistence pay.
Unfortunately, the Court responded by withdrawing all our proposals and offering only a 3% increase for a one-year contract. They also presented an option to accept their last offer of a three-year contract instead.
At this point, your bargaining team feels that we have reached an impasse, as the Court does not appear willing to negotiate further in our favor. We will begin the impasse process and keep everyone updated as we move forward.
