Placer Court Bargaining Update

On July 30, 2025, your Placer bargaining team met with Court Administration to continue working towards a new multi-year contract. We presented proposals that would increase the accruals for both vacation and sick leave, as well as new language that would give a differential to those who are not Courtroom Clerks who perform Courtroom-related duties.
In addition, we proposed new language for those forced into working unscheduled overtime that would remove the use of leave balances that would typically not be used as “time worked” concerning overtime pay.
Because the Court proposed a 3-year contract with a 3% increase to wages in the 1st and 2nd year, with only trigger language of meeting a total TCTF base allocation of $25,944.00 to receive an additional 3%, we countered with a 2-year contract at 7% in the 1st and 2nd year as we will not agree to a maybe.
Your bargaining team meets again on August 7 to continue the process.
