On October 17, 2023, UPE and El Dorado Superior Court continued contract negotiations. UPE is pleased to announce that the two sides reached a tentative agreement for a new two-year contract. The contract will provide UPE members with 100% medical coverage for both years of the contract as well as an 8% base salary increase effective the pay period beginning October 21, 2023, and a 3% increase in the second year. The two sides also agreed to contingency language for the second year that could see members receive between 0.5% and 2.0% in additional base salary increase the second year.
UPE will be holding in person meetings with members in both Placerville and South Lake Tahoe after hours to discuss the tentative agreement and answer questions. Additional information on these meetings will be provided soon.
