Greetings, Union Sisters and Brothers. On November 21, 2024, your UPE Bargaining Team had a preliminary meeting with County management on ground rules for Contract Negotiations. To no one’s surprise, the County came in with an antagonistic posture about bargaining, especially regarding giving adequate release time to your team to prepare for bargaining. Agreement on ground rules did not happen at this meeting, but future dates for negotiating your next contract were scheduled. Your team anticipates that bargaining will not be easy, and as a reminder, the contract expires on March 31, 2025. Please stay tuned for further announcements. We will need you!
