We have decades of expertise in assisting our members with Grievances, Discipline Appeals, Arbitrations, Discrimination Complaints, Labor code violations, Harassment, Classification Studies, Counseling memos, Letters of Reprimand, Contract violations, Controlled Leave, Out of Class Pay, Transfers, Workplace Violence, Testing and Promotions, FMLA, Leaves of Absences, Workload balancing, and all other employment issues facing County and Court employees.
UPE is a strong, pro-active Union that is on the leading edge of asserting and protecting member rights and benefits. We only represent members in the public sector -- we are experts in representing public employees.
UPE provides professional staff for negotiating contracts, contract enforcement, classification issues, and individual representation in disciplinary appeals. The Union also represents the membership on issues of broad impact before the Board of Supervisors, the Civil Service Commission, AOC, and the Retirement Board.
