UPE also works to arrange for discounts for you for entertainment venues as well as the dental plan. If you know of additional dentist, vendors, store or service provider who would be interested in giving discounts to UPE members, please contact our Office Manager, Carol at cabana@upe1.org.
WORKERS COMPENSATION ATTORNEY
When a worker is injured or becomes ill at work, he or she needs to file a claim for Workers Compensation. UPE works with an outstanding Workers Compensation Attorney, Nicholas Sheedy. Mr. Sheedy works closely with UPE and its members to protect injured workers and help them receive the benefits they are entitled to receive.
If you are injured or become ill on the job, report the injury right away. You should also contact your union representative or our Workers Comp attorney for further advice and assistance. Mr. Sheedy can be reached at (916) 646 4600. Let him know you are a UPE member.
ADDITIONAL INSURANCE
In addition to these benefits, Local 1 also makes a wide variety of insurance plans available for members to purchase from Parker Group using payroll deduction.
