We try hard to help members become leaders. The leaders of UPE are very dedicated to helping their co-workers and building the union. Some leaders are elected to boards. Some volunteer many hours at the union hall. Some take on special projects. Some organize their own worksites or are on Stewards Council. The Leaders at UPE all have one thing in common - they care about members.
The success of the union is due in large part to the leadership and participation of the members. Are you fair? Concerned about your co-workers? Want better working conditions and wages? Have good ideas for bargaining?
